Yeah but they cost a lot more. Ritek is kinda like the standard since its quality is great and so is the price.

Where is a good place to purchase Ritek DVD-R?

I've checked the web sites of Circuit City, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, CompUSA, Office Depot, Office Max, Costco. It seems it's a mail order item only?

If you had to purchase some DVD-R on the fly at a local retailer, what would be the 2nd best choice for PS2 backups?

Ritek isn't bought retail, but basically online only. if you need somthing immediatly from the store get Verbatim.
