Making a Various Artist Compilation DVD

Hi Guys.

Not having a lot of luck with one. I've accumulated quite a few music DVD's and I'd like to make a compilation of the best songs. I know that Tmpgenc DVD Author makes it fairly easy to make one from various sources, but it doesn't allow for different audio streams.

The problem I have is that some of my discs are 2ch only, some 5.1 etc, etc.

Has anyone found a way to rip songs to a standard format so I can take it to the next step? I'm not interested in SVCD either.

All suggestions, programs, methods appreciated

Thanks

Are you saying that you want to place a bunch of your songs onto one dvd?

Sorry if I wasn't too clear.

I want to rip music film clips from numerous dvds in my collection and then combine them into one "best of" compilation dvd.

I'm not after an audio dvd, I'm after a DVD full of various film clips.

As I stated the problem is some of the source dvd's are 5.1 ch some are 2 ch and Tmpgenc doesn't like the difference.

Hope that makes it a little less confusing

Other than having a menu I dont think you need TMPEG DVD Author for this task.

Just rip out the particular vids via CloneDVD or DVD2One. Once you have your bunch of vids then just use DVD2One to Merge them together. If the overall size is too large then DVD2One will automatically resize them to fit on one disc.

Keep in mind you wont have a menu.

Thanks for the reply.

Is it possible to re-author the completed file before burning to create a menu?

There's a program kicking around called DVD Re-make. Would that be of any assistance to me?

Thanks

Yes you can reauthor it before you burn it. Im sorry I wouldnt know anything about DVD Remake, as Ive never used it.
