backing up band of brothers...
 

Ok guys i got a problem here...ive been using clonedvd/anydvd combo to back up all my movies without fault. Its been working great! However cd 2 and 3 of band of brothers WILL NOT backup!

I get this error 65% through everytime..

Creation of DVD files was not successful
Clone 1 TCE

So i updated anydvd...still doesnt work...then i updated to clonedvd2 (i have been using the newest update to version 1) and still it doesnt work. These are the only two dvds ive ever had trouble with...anyone know whats goin on? THe other 4 dvds back up just fine too :confused:

So does anyone know what this error means? and/or how to get a working backup for these 2 dvds?

It means that either your disc is scratched/dirty or it was flawed in manufacturing. Youll need to try with a different disc.

its a bug with anydvd. rip the dvd with dvd decrypter and there you'll go.

get this error every now and then...

You sure about that Eagle? Ive had this happen to me before as well and nothing and I do mean nothing (dvd decrypter included) could extract past those certain files.

But upon exchanging the disc and trying again, the problem was solved.

100% sure. got this error with a brand new disc. anydvd definately caused it. i ripped an image with dvd decrypter, mounted into a virtual drive and let clone dvd use the virtual drive and it worked.

But Im telling you that Ive had the same problem with Dvd Decrypter. Can you explain that?

ok guys heres an update...

I tried with a different dvd of BoBcd 2 and 3 and i still get the same errors at the same spot. DO i really have that bad of luck to get two screwed up dvd's...i dunno

so i try dvd shrink and while its anylzing the dvd i get this error

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue its operation.

unhandled exception OnIdleFile

The reason is: unknown

I tried dvd shrink of both copies of the movie and the same thing happend. Damn this sucks! lol

DO you guys think i just got two screwed up dvd's or what?

first, always use the latest version of all the progz e.g. anydvd, dvd decrypter, clone dvd, dvd shrink etc.

when using dvd decrypter and/or dvd shrink make that anydvd is not running!

they work perfectly for me and i used your method.....
