Case Mod update
 

Here's a pic of the dvd top I just got done sanding.

So far I've learned this:
The DVD drive plastic is firm and easy to work with like wood. I could dremel/whittle/sand with ease.

The PS2 case plastic is rubbery and melts WAY too easy. I had to cut with the dremel at it's lowest RPM to keep from warping the damn thing. It's taking forever.

Lots more cutting/sanding to do.

Oh and before anyone screams foul.

I will be putting Lexan on the inside to keep it a little more dust resistant.

Looking good so far...

Okay finally got done cutting/sanding the top. My hands are sore. :p

I decided to sand the top since I cut through the DVD/CDROM logos and it looked funny. Plus i got a wicked scratch on accident.

I think I'll just paint the top flat black but i'm kinda liking the sanded "grey" look.

You going to add neon lights on the in side as well?

Yeah, i got a bunch of EL wire blue on order.

I'm in Beaverton, NW part of portland.

EL wire is fun, not very bright though.

Ya I know where Beaverton is. Had some friends up there. I use to live in Medford, where I still have family and woukd like to move back to.
