Making my own fixed .exe?

I'm on Windows XP, so I need a program compatible with this OS. I'm trying to get a working NOCD for Gothic 2 v1.32 since there isn't one released anywhere yet. It apparently uses SecuRom according to the Dameon Tools website. So what tool do I use, and what lessons or guides are there to help me figure it out?

I'd very much appreciate the help -

check the sticky 'Guide's, Tutorial's & Hint's' thread here

gothic german version is SecuROM 4.84 + Armadillo wrapped + CD-Checks,
gothic english version is SecuROM 4.84 + SVKP 1.3x wrapped + CD-Checks

there r no public tools available. i think u never cracked a game before. u will prolly fail because u can´t go straight to SecuROM or other commercial protections without any knowledge.

I beg to differ...

I actually found a whole page of tools, but nothing that worked with Windows XP. I know what I need - something to patch SecuRom (thanks for your info and the link), and I'm failry certain I can easily do this as I'm pretty good with this techy stuff.

So if someone out there has the info I need please send it along!

Maybe You'll need DriverStudio 2.7, then you must hide it from the game.

First you need to unpack it, (Armadillo or SVKP are NOT for beginners), then you need to remove SeXXurom, dunno if it also had triggers, but since it's from JoW00t, they probably inserted alot of nasty shít...

I wish you luck though;)

safedisk 3??

i got true crime streets of la and as of now there is no cracked exe. is there any tools out that will remove the copy protection from the game exe. Safedisc 3.10.020 is what it says in the nfo that came with the game. anybody got any ideas besides waiting for somebody to crack it???

First get a debugger installed. then patch it or patch the <game.exe> you want to unwrap so it dont find out you´r tracing it. then you unwrap it and rebuild the exe and finally load the unpacked exe into ida and kill the cd checks.. all done, not so hard at all.. or is it (?)

yes its hard but this is generally what you have to do so now its up to you to learn how to do this by yourself ;) there isnt (that i know) any guides to remove latest safedisc, securom, etc available .. might be one in russian atleast so i heard.

Doing these things isnt easy, and its not something you begin doing if you never done any reversing before..

sorry if this made no sense at all, please feel free to PM me if you really need help, i have tools and sources for safedisc 2->2.9x and securom v.latest
might put them out for public when i get sd3 sorted. if i do there will be opensource like risc´s package. so everyone can play not just leet groups like deviance

you dont seem to realise WHY the public release of tools was stopped.. the reason wasnt to make groups leet, the reason was the protectionists were using the methods/information contained in the tools and then changing the protection so the methods didnt work anymore, releasing your 'pack' will simply result in you shooting yourself in the foot, only person who benefits is the protection ppl (and you i guess if you seek fame...).. why do u think risc stopped releasing his code....
