unable to d/l patch for MVP 2004
 

is it because i'm using a no-cd crack.exe file?

The no-cd and any modded files like stadiums, uniforms, etc cause the patch to not install. you have to replace all your original files, install the patch, then reinstall the mods.
PITA for those of us with a bunch of mods but no patch2 means no "lefty bug" fix!

Why would you have to do that? Couldn't you just reinstall the original file that the game is going to overwrite?

maybe its cos someones using a downloaded version...

You have NO idea about this game. Anything modded must be brought back to the original. It has nothing to do with the EXE. Don't talk about pirated versions unless you know specifically about the game.

For those experiencing trouble using the (rediculously inept) web update feature that EASPORTS employs, all of the MVP 2004 patches can be manually downloaded from their ftp site -

ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/easports/misc/mvp2004/

ps - Here's a tip - NEVER delete your original uncracked unmodified .EXE file. ALWAYS store a copy of the original EXE in your game installation folder BEFORE you apply any crack. Then, when a patch comes out, you can delete the cracked EXE and rename the copy of the original EXE back to its original name, and then apply any patch you wish. For cracks that replace files other than the EXE file (DAT or DLL files for example), make copies of those originals before applying any crack. Always keep copies of the original file. Doing so will give you the opportunity to apply update patches pain-free.

pss- I'm still desperately seeking a crack of the new patch for MVP 2004...

I too am looking for a no-cd fix for the update 2 .exe. Anyone going to do one?

Yeah...I was hoping the crack would be on today's list (May 6) but alas, it is no there...this is a HUGE patch with a lot of importance fixes so hopefully it is coming soon...fyi though - the patch #1 crack works but some of the fixes are in the .exe so you won't be playing with all of the fixes in patch #2...

yes, Patch #1 works with some of the updated files, but not enough to make it worth playing without. So, if you don't have the original, you'll need to wait till a new crack is released.

safe to say there isn't on coming out, think it would have been out already unless someone had luck finding one

Well, it seems that deviance is catching up with the updates so hopefully we will c the patch for this game also....they allready released some of the other patched missing for different games during the scenebreak so just be patient and im sure it will arrive very soon ;)
