PlayStation2 Cooling

How does the heat sink and cooling for work for the PS2 CPU

seaneyb2003 02-05-2004 01:51

it cools it down genius

if your worried about getting it ova heated get a usb fan there quite cool.

lufcfan 02-05-2004 15:13

The fan at the back draws air through the console vents at the front, and exhausts them from the back, thus the front vents get clogged with sh*t after a while. The optional fans force the air through, rather than the PS2 drawing it through, increasing the air flow and cooling it further still.

P.S. Completely depressed today. See the username, and I'm sure you'll see why :(

I was there, and my god, it was truly heartbreaking...

I was asking what cooling measures does the PS2 have for the CPU internaly.

Anyway my ps2 was crashing and the idiot that modded my
PS2 with a **** MAGIC 3 also burned the track out of the board and I know this because I just had a professional install
a messiah2 pro and he fixed the board, and everthing is working good!

lufcfan 05-05-2004 08:08

Cool. But what was explained earlier is the only way the PS2 is cooled...
