can i tell if my playstation is chipped without taking it apart?

it you put in a backup copy it will boot if it has one

how could you not know if your ps2 has a modchip?


also if its missing the security sticker on the back it has been opened before

i brought a second hand ps2 from a shop and have just noticed that the back has been taken off and theres a silver sticker on the back from some computer shop that says warranty void if taken off.so i thought it has either been repaired or chipped.so theres nothing else you have to do when you put a copied game in ,i only have ps1 copies.

that depends on what type of chip might be in there

just try putting a psx copy in there and see if it works it could not hert anything

if nothing happins then you could try holding down the O button while you tern on the system

also if you hold down the eject button with the system on and the disk tray shoots out then in a few secs gos back in theres a no soder chip in there


theres a few outher ways to I cant think of off the top of my head
(it is not likeley there is a chip in there it probubley just has been repaired)

play a backup game and see. whats the shop called?

thanks for your help ive ordered a slide card and magic disks now dont think it was chipped.

omg ! Why Why? do people still sell these swap magic crap stuff whats the point of even using it specially with the slide card that brakes ur ps2 i wouldnt touch it buddy.

Can you cancel the order?

I agree, cancel the order and buy a real modchip, if not you will be right back here asking why certian backups dont work.
