disableing refresh
 

on this site it has text that I want to read but I cant because its uses java stript to refresh and it switches over before I hit stop so is there a way a can disable refreshing from java stript without disableing java intirely?

I have an add-on application that loads in IE that allows you to control all kind of behaviors. One is to stop meta refresh. It’s called PopUpCop. Check it out; I have used it to do exactly what you are talking about.

sounds like a "debugger" for IE??! so can you see javascript functions and disable(stop) them??

well, if the stop button stops java, you could always just hit escape on your keyboard as soon as the page loads.
