Version 7 with magic 3.1 question.
 

Hey guys, I've got the v7 ps2 with a magic 3.1 mod chip. I installed the chip and all worked fine for a couple of hours, then it could load up any games. I opened the system checked the wires (all ok) closed it up and it worked for a couple of hours then right back to not loading up games. Ect. Ect. now I'm back to it not working but opening it up didn't fix it this time.

Any ideas on where I went wrong?

Is the problem with originals as well as backups?

yes it is.

The threads header says, V7 with magic 3.1 question, yet in the post you say you have a v2 :confused:. Try taking the chip out and see what happons. If its a v2 the laser could be about shot.

sorry, I changed that. It's a version 7.

I'd take the chip out and try it then.

make sure the chip isnt shorting out or any of the ribbon cables are either.
