Right,

I have just chipped my PSX for my little brother.
The unit is 5552.

When I load an orginal it loads the white screen saying 'Sony' but thats it...

Also does anyone have any pictures of where they put their chip, and how they put it in place.

I found the problem. The cd is not spinning.

Any ideas?

it seems the power is not getting to it. Yet, I have checked everything, seems ok..

Now when i power up, led goes off, when the motherboard power cable is in...

did it stop working once u chipped it?

Once I chipped it, it went to the white screen, so i took it apart to have a look, n then that power problem thing happened.

yup

first thing look at all the points and see if they are all ok.
if it lood messy get a desoldering braid and clean it up.

if that doesnt work remove the chip and see if it works its prob a dodgy install.

I dont relly see why anyboady still mod's the PSone when you can boot anything with a utility Disk like the gameshark
