i just saw in GCW that a breed crack is out.unfortunatenly i don't have the game.so this guy who made it cracked starforce 3 protection or it's bull****?
why this protection is so hard to break?i mean why can't you just pass the protection?isn't it a loader?

Becuase it's not generetic, means, it dosen't look the same all the time!

well they say what locks can be unlocked.as you said it changes ok?so how it's possible to get pass this protection?

Think, Deviance, fairlight etc, are having more and more information about this protection. Becuase more and more games/game company are switching to Starforce 3 and Tagé, that's mean there are more products that they can research on.

However, they have suceeded, and I think they can, but I think there are searching for a patten, so they can make an unwarper. So it will go faster. My guess is that if you do it manualy and you have to learn the protection build, it can take weeks before they break the first layer, and more weeks to get it to function... so the stronger and less patten the enpcryption are, the more week/months it takes to break it down! (crack it)

does starforce 3 has the base that other starforce have?i mean is version 3 updated from 2 to 3 or it's all diferent?

I don't know about 2 to 3, but one game that wat starforce 3 protected had a cracked update but it was over 400mb.

With starforce, you can't just fix an exe or dll because the protection is in several places throughout the installed game. This requires a very large download and it's quite difficult to create. Takes lots and lots of time.

But games, fo example, Singles and Black mirror haven the same protection like breed and for these games the published cracks work fine !

That 400 mb crack was Dead to rights and that was a "special-case" (call it a custom crack if you want to) and no, this is not a general thing for SF3. At least, not so far.

Depends on, but it do have some nasty stuff I:e INT1/ INT3 hooking and a virtual machine to protect the code (Macrovision probably stole the idea and implemented it in SD3.xx)

Just try finding the OEP (Original Entry Point) or the IAT (Import Address Table), then you'll what i'm talking about.;)

actually, it wasnt a 'special case' the fact that the crack was >400mb or so was simply because sf3 has a hidden virtual file system embedded into it, where the files are encrypted and stored somewhere where the game was installed (typically .dat) files, so ims had to recreate those files, trackmania was the same, as indeed were many others, the int 1/3 hooking has been there since sf2 at least, iat doesnt exist, but the it does, so you have to rebuild that, on top of that there are various other nasties within its core (including the vm's).. but yes sf3 is similar to sf2 (and possibly sf1 - havent looked at that), in a way that sd3 is similiar to sd2, where generally the protectionists have simply added in new stuff to existing code

Somebody told me it has triggers which makes securom look simple..dunno if i's true or not:D Maybe it's time to visit some friends, borrow a copy and have a closer look:D

The cracks on GCW works very well !!

i tried desert rats and it'n not playing man...it sais there is an error occured and activex told the program to close the application

activex?.. something tells me that what you 'tried' probably wasnt a crack heh

well i tried the german crack cause it's the only one on GCW.it said that activex wanted the whole game to close.
