trouble with ritek
I recently bought a pack of 1x riteks from rima.com and so far each disc has been a coaster (tried 4 in all).
I have bought from them before but those discs said RiData on them and I did not have a single failure. This new batch does not say this. Is there a difference? Or has anyone ever gotten a bad batch, were you able to exchange them? |
Ritek and Ridata are the same exact discs. Its like Disney and MGM.
Are you sure its not your burner for any reason? Are you sure its not your PS2 for any reason? And are you sure its not your image for any reason. Tyler! |
I think TD wants yo know if you're sure...:D :D :D

Possibly.

I used different discs and they worked out just fine. So it is probably the riteks.
Luckily Rima.com is going to allow me to return them for credit. They told me that ritek does not make Ridata disks any more, the ones with the siler matte finish (the ones I have used before). THey only make the shiny silver ones. I have no clue if that makes a difference or if I just got a bad batch. I checked their website and Ritek still has 4x Ridata discs. Does anyone know if I might encounter a problem using these in a 1x DVD-r (Mat****a UJ-810, firmware C102-it came with my laptop) |
First of all never believe whole-heartedly everything a salesman says.
If your having problems with Ritek or Ridata then use what works best for you. Like I always say, the majority (probably close to 90% or more) have no problems when using Ritek/Ridata. Tyler! |
