My PS2 is not the version it says it is!!!
I have a DMS3 modchip waiting to be installed in what says, is a 30001 R PS2, which is a V5/V6.
When I opened the machine, the motherboard looks like a V4. I reassembled the PS2, and turned it on, and checked what version it really was. Even when I checked in the Browesr section, it said this PS2 is an SCPH 30001 R!!!! This motherboard does not match up with the diagrams for the V5/V6 MB's. This motherboard comes close to the V4 diagram, but there's a couple things out of place. I'll try to upload a pic of my Motherboard, and see if you guys can figure it out. I thank you for your replies! |

In Oz the R model is always a V5/6 in fact I think we only got the V5 not even the V6...
Makes it easier for us - if it is a 30002 R you know what it is without having to check any other number or screws etc. |
Yep, version 4'R' always catch us out. I've only seen 4-5 personally.

I found CH-130
