ploblem playing games
on the games I have..such as SW:KotOR and NFS underground, in middle of a gameplay, the sound stops and when I try to quit, my computer freezes and I cant do anything, so all my saves are lost:mad: .....whats wrong?
|
Well, before the techheads get here (like Rince) I will say this, try updating your Videocard, Soundcard and Motherboard drivers. Throw the latest DX on there too.
|
I dont think I have a problem with that...all my stuff are pretty new and updated
|
Well, theres always the Microsoft Loop Error. If you are getting that, I feel for ya. Go search for some answers on the VIA forums. Failing all that, Take it to the Head.

seems that is the same problem, what I got with my pc!
some games, which suddenly stop and I get a black screen and must reset my pc: -RavenShield -SplinterCell -there where some other games, which I cannot remember. ...looks like my pc don't like the unreal engine!!! I think it has something to do with directX, but iam not sure about that. |
ok....theres another problem now.....when Im playin my SW: knights of the old republic game, after a while, the game suddenly start to freeze for a second and unfreeze for like every 5 sec.....this is getting bad...good thing this time is I can get out normally, but the problem is still occuring on the desktop...

A lot of gamers assume they have pretty up to date drivers. Pretty up to date doesn't mean they have the "latest" drivers! It would be a great help if gamers would list their system specs:
brand of mb processor speed ram at least 512mb (1024 would be so much better) brand and model of video card+ram (at least 128mb) video driver version how high do you set the in game options? Games over the last couple of years are oriented toward the high end machines!! |
oh god your freezing prob reminds me of another problem, which i had with my pc(wasn't very funny!). so I would say it is not a driver problem, but a hardware prob like cdkiller said...
my hd was broken and the reboots took very long, too.(at the end it wasn't even possible to reboot!!):( :( |
Well, google for a program called memtest86 and use it to test your memory. Lots of people have bad memory and don't know about it because they can play for a while before they crash.
