1:1 copy of Far Cry
 

I've just recently purchased Far Cry(5cd's) and i was wonderin how i can make a 1:1 copy of this game

As far as I know,
 

you can't make a backup copy to a physical CD without messing around with Blindwrite and its TwinSector script.

Since I didn't want to go through that hassle, i just made a backup using Alcohol 120% with the Safedisc 2/3 setting and created an image. I then loaded the image onto the virtual drive to run the game.

Man, originally installing this game was crazy! 5 CDs!!

You can buy only DVD version. 5 CD version is warez. :rolleyes:

Nope, there is a 5 Disc version as well, which as far as I am aware is only available in North America.

Looking at another forum,a lot of people who pre-ordered the DVD UK version (Play.com seem to be the main culprits) are getting the 5 disc version sent them with a £2 refund for "Inconvenience".
Guess I was wrong about them losing sales with a DVD-Only European release then.:rolleyes:

I don't think any of this "dvd-nonedvd thing" has helpt out guy with the backup thing.

First, found out what protection.
Second, found out WICH cd that are protected.
IF you are lucky, often is the playdisc, 1 disc.
If you have VERY unlucky day, it can be every discs.....

i don't get it man.i always know where the protection is and what it is.i buckup the cd's with alcoholer.so i know what and where it is.SO???don't i need a no cd/dvd crack to play?some times it plays but other times i need a crack

I want to thx the one that made the NOCD for Far Cry , for playing offline. I have the orginal Far Cry EXE in my documents folder when I play online I just switch them and put the CD in away I go.

I play alot off line so it works out great with out the cd startup..

In Australia this game is available in both formats.
