Recordnow Max V4.5

Would any of you kind people tell me where I can find a good tutorial on backing up my games with this software, or better still a comprehensive guide for all its uses. :)

hiya. I've got this installed on my comp, but it won't recognize my DVD burner (it's an LG 4x). I know there are PX engine updates, can anyone point me to the latest one?

and is there a difference between RecordNow! and RecordNow Max! ? Cause they seem to be made my different companies?

Well, its a long story. But RecordNow was made by Stomp and was given mainly bundled with burners. I got it with my Sony DRU-500A.

RecordNow Max is still made by Stomp but has a lot more features that the watered down RecordNow bundle was.

RecordNow DX (Deluxe) is basically the same engine sold to another party called Sonic. They basically revamped the RecordNow style and keep adding updates for new drives.

As for your compatibility question, Sonic hosts their PX Engine updates but you must have a registered version of their program to recieve it. I might be able to help you over AIM. If Im not too busy that is.

you only need enter a name and a valid e-mail to get the px engine ;)

if it still can not recognize your burner, you should get Sonic Recordnow DX

My options...

When I was new to burning PS2 DVDs, I was told that Prassi Primo DVD & RecordNow Max (made by the same company) were the two best burning programs for PS2/X-Box games. I don't know about X-Box but for PS2 this is FALSE! Those programs are compatible with almost NOTHING! I think the most under-rated program on the planet is Alcohol 120%. It burns all image formats known to man whether it be Nero (.nrg.), CDRWIN (.cue, .bin) DiscJuggler (.cdi), to the universally known .iso. I used this to burn endless games.

Everybody is entitled to have their own opinion.

I would recommend RecordNow Max as I have used it for PS2 with no problems for ages now, and recently used it for Xbox with no problems also. For "compatibility" issues (presumably you mean drive support) you may need to use the latest PXEngine software.

Alcohol 120% is also a very application :)
