neo-12

Hey check this chip out

http://www.the-console-corner.com/neo-12.htm

They bill it as only a 12 wire install but then if you look closely there are 9 PCB solder points that need to be bridged, bringing it to 21 actual points, just like most of the current chips on the market. Kind of reminds me of this peace of garbage that popped on newz a while back.

All though that peace of junk had all but 5 points being PCB bridges, and the stupid thing went on the back of the mobo under the heat shield which had to cause fitting problems.

ohh geez after looking at the V9 diagram this chip has to be mounted on the back of the mobo just like the other peace of junk.

What a funny coincidence, I was just chatting with N£TM£ÇH about this earlier. Im guessing its using pogo pins for the center points under the board. That leaves 12 actual solder points.

No I don’t think it has pogo's, the bios points are like the Xbox chips that you just bridge a glob of solder across the mobo to the chips PCB. Still a total of 21 points. But if you look closer at the chip it looks like they set it up so you don’t have to use the PCB bridges if you don’t want to, on the chip where the PCB bridges would be if you fallow the track back a little ways you will see pads that you can use for a full wire install. At least it has that going for it.

Yeah I think your right. I dislike it even more now.
