NEC ND-2500a

What about the NEC ND-2500a? I just bought one. is it any good at all to make PS2 backups? i got a v7 as u can see... wich dvds are good for backing up my ps2 games? is dvd-r better than dvd+r or vice versa? and can i use cheap dvds like bulkpaq with a v7 laser? i know they are bad, but aint it a pritty good laser in a v7?

thnx for all your support! love u guys!
regards from a drunk man in sweden :)

Well I have no idea how good that burner is but Bulkpaq media might work for a short time with your good V7 laser until over time from the laser working so hard to read the media, it finally burns it self up. The small savings you might save now when buying this crap media will cost you down the road. Stay away from Princo also. Use Ritek or Verbatim DVD-R's.

ive never ever used a dvd+r to be honest because i dont see the point when you got a brill product on dvd-r why bother and spend more money. At the end of the day dvd-r are cheaper and more compatiable.

yep. i'll back the fact that princos work for movies. but don't use for games. taiyo yuden r good for games. so r maxell. ritek also.

sp4m 29-02-2004 06:39

ok... thnx for the advice! i suppose dvds like "3T-Pro" and "Traxdata" ain't worth using eather?

sp4m 29-02-2004 06:47

hey... i took a look at www.dvdnorden.se that is a swedish store selling mosty dvd-movies... they sell a brand called BULKDVD 4x DVD-R, and they are writing about those something like this: "Swedens best sold 4x DVD-R disks! The only brand in the world that is Multi-X ceterficated, with extremly high comatibility on PC, DVD-players, XBOX and PS2. 100% garantied A-Grade for absolutly highest quality."

anyone heard of them? the problem is that riteks is pritty hard to find over here... they are mostly selling cheap crap in the stores over here...

SORRY for my bad english... can't help it... :( hope you understand...

thnx!

Traxdata is great too. It uses the same dye as Ritek.

sp4m 01-03-2004 13:39

Hi... i looked att the www.vcdhelp.com/dvdmedia page... it says that the media code of BulkDVD is PRINCO... does this mean that they are princo disks with a driffrent lable, and that the suck just as much as princo? thnx 4 everyting!

seaneyb2003 01-03-2004 14:00

yea princo is the dye. princos are usially very light purple. i saw that the new printiable bulkpaq were quite dark maybe they have got a new dye manuafacturer.

i would use riteks - traxdata, aritia, ritek, ridata and much more......

sp4m 01-03-2004 14:17

ok! thnx for that! i will buy some discs tomorrow...
