clonedvd problem

Im trying to copy from my dvd drive to my dvd burner w\clonedvd but when I go to click on my dvd writer it dosent show up. I can rip to HD with either drive but why wont it see my burner drive? I want to go straight from dvd drive to burner. I have latest version of firmware and latest version of clone dvd any ideas? Thanks!

Patience

Well either your just gonna have to wait for CloneDVD to update for your particular burner. Or just make an ISO or DVD Files and burn with some other burning program.

Updating your firmware will not help you here.

Ok thanks for the help. I have one more for you then. I also use DVDshrink and my dvd drive will transfer data @ 10 kb/s I tested it w\nero data transfer test. But when I use shrink it takes about 30-50 min. to rip an original dvd to my HD,and the KB/s only rises to about 3600. If I backup a dvd Ive allready backedup though it will rip in about 5 min and transfer at around 9 to 10 kb/s. So my ? is Am I running into some sort of bottleneck when I encode and shrink or what? Thanks!

Yeah, if your ripping and encoding directly from your dvd movie then your bottlenecking because (depending on your reader) the info that needs reencoding is not directly on your hdd.

I find it easier to just rip the entire movie to my hdd then reencode it from there to another folder. It takes me about 20 min to copy from original disc to hdd. Another 20 min to reencode and another 30min to burn at 2x.

Total time for me is 1 hour 10 min.

I switched my ide cables and it showsup now by messing w\some options in dvdshrink I also got my transfer rate up alot I can rip and burn in 30 min now but man compared to dvdshrink clone took 10 min longer. It took 40 min to rip and burn w\clone and it took 30 min to rip and burn with shrink. Think Ill stick w\dvd shrink. I still think 30 min to rip and burn is to long but oh well Ill just have to build myself a new puter. I did have a decent P4 2.0ghz system put I spilled my beer on my case and before I could pull the plug pop went the M/b, proc and ram. SO I put together this Frankienstien of old parts I had laying around an old celeron 1.3 ghz 384mb sdram and good old abit BE6II m/b. LOL oh well it works. Thanks for the suggestions!

Ok, man. Whatever works best for you is what I suggest you use.
