Playing GC w. out cover?
 

I have read previous forums that you can use this "PSX trick" to play the games w. out the cover, how do u do this? If its a lengthy process, can i get some screen shots too?

are you talking about playing backup games without closing the gamecube lid?

No i am talking about playing originals with out using the cover.

yes u could play original gamecube games without the cover, but y would u want to remove teh cover? ur lens gonna be cover in dust.

Everytime I play a game w. my GCN it gives me the "Can't Read Disk" error even on brand new games. I cleaned the lens and still get this message. My 4-year-old bro broke the cover and so, thats what is causing this error. Could you please give me a tutorial on how to remove the cover so that i can play my games w. out getting this annoying error?

just get something to hold down the cover mech, so it could read the game without a cover. then get a spindle to hold down teh game in the tray while its spinning. otherwise the game will become loose and u will get DREs
