heh if you need this all you also need to have A LOT money ;)

but there are free tools available i.e. for protecting VCDs etc.
i don´t know the name of the tools but search some sites like cdfreaks.com and you will find them.

btw, whats 'The Bongle' ? do you mean Dongle ?

look if you can't trust your "friends" then stop giving them the vcd's

like we said, securom and the other protections you mentioned are commercial ones and you are forced to buy them or send your cds to a manufactor who duplicates them with the protection.

i have seen some free vcd/svcd protection tools but i cannot remember the name. check google.com for it.

How about just not giving your VCDs away to "friends" you can't trust ??
If it's a legitimate movie that you've made and want to sell, then go ahead and apply some "protection" to it, but as you might know, most of them can be broken/bypassed anyways, so what's the point ??

I for one get the feeling there is no *friend* and he made no movie by himself, just want to put copyprotection on movies he sell so they cant be copied hehe.. maybe im wrong i dont care, i can however sell you a dummy file real cheap or i can sell you a custom made protection not so cheap but cheaper then safedisc would cost you . just mail me if intressted

I only just stumbled across this thread and do relize it was started many months ago but hey this guy has posted this exact thread in many places, I come accross it all the time whilst surfing the net!!
I would have to agree with 'Noober' on this one!! :rolleyes:

I don´t think that commercial CD-Protections are available for home use. I think this would be to expensive for private ppl. But I think there are some protections available in the net.
