Having trouble booting ps2 cdr +dvdr!
 

ok my laser went, so i bought another one, and i just installed it. here is my results.....

I boot up cdr and dvdr and i get the Playstation 2 Logo, and thats it. the logo dissapears and the cd makes some more noises, then it eventually stops. i tried loading a regular dvd game, wouldnt work the first time but i adjusted the black screw on the rail, and it worked. but i have had no luck booting cdr backups. ive tried adjusting a whole lot, and nothing....

what should i do?

What version ps2 do you have? What modchip do you have? What was happening before you changed out your laser?

Weird, PS2 usually have a harder time with DVD’s than CDR’s. You bought a brand new replacement? The sled angle adjustment should have been set right at the factory. This is a V4 or older PS2 right. You did try all adjustment tips with the old laser before ordering a new one right? White cog is adjusted? It should have very little affect on CDR media anyway. We’ve gone over all possible adjustments on other threads, read them.
