wird problem
 

hi i have a ps2 v7 with a messiah 2 in it. The system will load all dvd/dvd-r based games no problem.But trying to load cd based games (original and back ups )is very hard. some of the cd back ups ps1/ps2 don't load at all .So i took the lazer out of another ps2 v7 and replaced it.The same problem but the lazer i took out i tryed in another system and it boots everything (cd/dvd-r) Any ideas the messiah 2 system did boot every thing for a long time just stoped now i tryed cleaning the lazer and the chip wireing is 100% i use verbatim cd-r and ritek dvd-r :confused:

Just because you take a working laser from one PS2 and but in another PS2 with a questionable laser doesn’t mean that the new laser will necessarily perform better. Each laser is specifically adjusted for the PS2 it’s in. It for sure sounds like a laser issue though.
