idea

hey i have no f*cking idea if this would work, but, is it possible to have the xbox constantly connected to your pc through a crossover cable so it can access the computer hdd, so that instead of upgrading your xbox hdd you could just hold backups on your pc and play them on the xbox thruogh some kind of ftp program specially designed for it? if so, that would be great for me, cuz i dont want to take anything out or put anything new into my xbox i.e:hdd. thats why i softmod.
also , does anyone the max data transfer speed of a crossover cable? this would play an important role in my theory.
cuz, if the speed was too low, the game would lag.

i dont believe u can do that.... yet

Can't be done.
When you boot your XBox up and it load EvoX it opens an FTP server. This allows you to connect to your XBox and do as you wish.

But as soon as you load a game the FTP server is closed, and no date can be sent to your XBox. I thought about this when I first got into modding XBoxes too.

The only way you could do it is if you can some out make the XBox run an FTP server and run a game on top of that... But good luck.

He's talking about streamin the game right? Like they're doing for GameCube. That would be cool if it is possible.

hey wait, just had another idea.. would it be possible for the nice folks behind evox (or maybe someone else) to create a ftp server emulater . if so, than it would definitely be able to work, if you ran it in the backround while you played a game.
could someone tell me if its even possible to emulate a ftp server (although i dont see why it would be impossible)
thx
