Just purchased PS2 Original Black SCPH 50003
NT SURE if board is v9 v10 or newer

Please advise which chip is best - bgonna watch dvd as weell as play my old psx backups

Thinking of dms3 or Ripper Gold 2 - which is the better ???

Concerned - like others - to have chip properly installed without problems.

Browsed the site and looks like the info is coming in.

ancient look on the back of yer ps2 under the scph number if its got a circle with a D in it or 3D then its a version 10 if nothing there its a version 9:eek:

50003 are V9's

no offence lufcfan my silver ps2 has 50003 on the back but its version 10 the definite way to find out is check the board if its stamped gh-026 then its version 10
