Creating ISO
Hello all again..
I know you all must get sick and tired of all the same questions bit i have come to problem creating iso's using xiso. I have read all of the tutorials and have tried doing what Dude has done without creating an iso and also tried creating an iso but have noticed that once i used xiso and transfered to a diff folder it was in a rar file. I heard Xiso has alot of bugs so is this normal. Also i have tried to open file and it won't touch it. please help |
what do you man it was a rar? Whats the name?
|
I was doing the game Halo and used xiso and it converted it to a rar file which i thought was totally wierd...
|
Are you sure it actually turned it into a rar file or did it maybe just use the image from a rar file? Sometimes it can look like a rar file on your PC but when you check its properties its really a different file.

yea use like flashfxp to check the ending of the filename (if u have it)
if not, then goto view options and disable the thing where it says, roughly, hide known extensions then let us noe what it is |
you can associate winrar with the .iso extension for use with basic isos but it's no good for xbox isos!
dont worry about the winrar icon but i would get rid of xiso and get craxtion instead |
i put winiso in my pc and that sorted out the iso problem for me anyway i get a circle cd image icon for my xiso that i make
|
but isos suck..
i still dont get y people want them |
Thanx for the info but i actually opened it but it used a winrar file so i took your advise and got rid of xiso cause i don't like the sound of it and have now just got isocraxtion so i will have a play with it.
Also does anyone know if a Thompson drive can read dvd+rw as i tried Halo PAL using Flashfxp and then Recordnow max 4.5 but my drive didn't recognise it. I have noticed other forum do it that way with no probs. Thanx |

thanx again |
you have to add the .ocx files that you downloaded with it in your
c:\windows\system32 if you have it c:\windows\system if you have it copy the files manually |
Cheers for that i shall give it a go......
Thanx :) :) |
