HULK Backup

Hi,

I have made a backup of the Hulk dvd. I used dvd decrypter to rip and dvd shrink to compress/re-author. Then instant copy to create and burn image. All worked well, I now have a dvd of only the main movie, no menus and extras etc.
The problem is, right at the end of the movie the dialog changes to spanish. There are no forced subtitles so you cant see what they are saying although I think there are meant to be. I can select a subtitle stream to over come this but that means that it will be present during the whole film. During reauthoring with dvd shrink I did not delete any subtitle streams so I don't understand why they would dissapear.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

try a full disc backup instead of re-authoring that might help

You should be able to choose subtitle and audio options using your dvd remote.

Yes I can choose subtitle using the dvd remote but when I do that it shows subtitles for the whole film, even when they are speaking in english. I'm new to dvd->dvd backup, in the past I have made dvd->svcd backup and you can choose "forced" subtitles, that is like the ones that show when an alien is speaking for eg.

Did u loose any picture quality when u compressed it to one disc?
I'm not sure if compression automatically degrades quality.

They basically go hand in hand. Whether you notice the degraded quality or not is up to your movie watching setup.
