Off topic--> internet excellorator

hey guys.. this is off topic but i was just woundering which internet excelorators are teh best? i tried active speed and found no difference. i am only using dial-up(i cannot get high speed) adn normally connect at 28.8-37.2kbbs. i know the excelorators dont impact the connection speed but i didn't feel a change with active speed, while surfing or downloading. anyone have any good excelorators?
thanks

I think those accelerators and stuff like net zero high speed are a joke. The only real accelerator is broadband. I tried a few of those supposed dial-up accelerators a few years back and they didn’t seam to do jack. Just my input but wait until you can get a broad band connection and don’t waste your money on that junk.

If you want broad band that bad try satellite broad band, Direc Tv and Dish Network both have set ups.i think dish network is cheaper, like $39.95 or so.

yea i have looked at that. i hhave expressvu and they offer it. you need to have an existing ISP internet account plus it only speeds up downloading and one way for surfing. also with the satelite broadband u have a limited amount of downloading!

Ice Man II 05-02-2004 18:02

It's only limited if you get the cheap account.

I have found Mozilla to be faster than IE. Give it a try.

www.mozilla.org

eakinsme 06-02-2004 06:24

is Mozilla a ISP? is it dial-up, DSL, ect?? what is speed range for this product?

Ice Man II 06-02-2004 07:39

Mozilla, is a program like IE, you use it just as you would use IE, Tech Tv gave it rave reviews. Its worth a shot if you dont want to try satellite broad band.

i am curently using mozilla as i type! it apprears to be faster than IE. thanks. if i were to d/l sumthing in the mozilla browers would it be faster than d/ling something in the IE browser?

Ice Man II 06-02-2004 07:55

Just what are you trying to get out of this? Cable modem or DSL speed? It might be lil faster then IE but its still dial up.

bighap 06-02-2004 09:45

Downloads prolly wont be any faster but page loading will be.

Ice Man II 06-02-2004 10:08

bighap i think he wants a mircale

EVOEvo 06-02-2004 10:33

i read that cable can go 1500 kbs to 4000 kbs thats dam fast i wish they would get it here we have digtal cable but no internet cable

frequency 06-02-2004 10:46

i had dsl which was around 1100kbs or so then once comcast came to town i immediately switched over. and boy has it made a big ass difference. my speed jumped from 1100kbs to around 2700kbs...muawhaha:D . overall, if ur more concerned with downloading speeds then the only real way to go is to get broadband.
