Boot CD???
 

My son have saved enough money to buy a PS2 and a bootchip. Then a friend told me, that it's possible to get a boot cd instead of the bootchip. - Is yhere anybody out there who knows is that true and how does it work?? - and where can I get it??

I believe you are refering to the Swap Magic discs.
You require a flip top lid or slide card.
But they are awful. The slidecards screw your ps2 up eventually and the book discs dont boot all games.
Plus you have to swap the discs and its not direct boot.
Tyler will call it the Ghetto method.
Get a Duo or DMS3 :D

I agree with Tyler, it is ghetto. Buy a no swap chip.
