X²-Die Bedrohung
 

Hi everybody,

cant get the German version of X²-The Threat to work without the game cd. CDs are unproblematic to copy but there is some copy protection that scans the cd everytime you start the game.
I tried to use an Image and play it via Daemon tools but I dont know where to change the drive where the game looks up for the original cd.

Crack from GCW (English version, 1.2) hasnt worked either. I am looking forward to your ideas. Or maybe anyone knows if there is a German crack coming out.

Any help is appreciated.

I didnt even know the name of the protection. Thanks for that. Maybe I can find anything on the web that sorts this out. Although I dont believe it...:rolleyes:

So you should create an image of the game-cd and mount it with Daemon. Afterwards you disconnect all your IDE CD and DVD drives. Now the game will start. Some people say it might even be sufficient to just deactivate the drives in your hardware manager (XP). Well, for me thats too much of work.

Is it even possible to create NOCD for a Starforce 3?

i need the the latest german update, the english update not working with the german version (i can not see any message in the game with the english update).

When i scan the original exe of my german version of "X2 - Die Bedrohung", protection ID 5.0 beta3 tells me it is protected with Securom 5.00.03 !!!

I just tried it myself with PId 5.0 beta 3 and it tells me that my German Game CD is protected by StarForce 3.0.:confused:

Of course but the guy above was stating it was Securom. With the German version. Kinda confusing.

OK! I was wrong. I have a DEViANCE Crack containing X2.EXE & X2.DEV. Because both has the same size, i was thinking the X2.DEV is the original exe, renamed to X2.DEV for redirecting some file checks. I has renamed the X2.DEV to X2.DEV.EXE and scanned it. PID5.0b3 tells me SECUROM 5.00.03 !!!

When i scan the real original exe (after reinstalling the game) PID5.0b3 tells me STARFORCE3.0 .

Thats a crack for the German version? :confused:

Yeah. Its NoCD and works fine with the german version.
It's for 1.2DE, Januar 2004.

I will send it to GameCopyWorld, so please wait for next Update.

Guess it is not perfect at the moment.

The NFO-File says the crack is from the german Warez release. Its a X2.EXE and a X2.DEV . Each one 3.850.240 Byte filesize.
