pre modded PS2
 

I have a PS2 and I've had it a long time. Sometimes it says disc read error. Is this the dreaded lens gone bad? Anyway I was thinking of getting a pre modded PS2 but was wanting to know which is the best. The best modchip and the best version PS2.

You laser might need a cleaning. Try using a cleaning disc. If you are going to buy a new system all you will find are v9/v10 systems. The DMS3 offers the most features, but your average gamer doesn't need them. You could get by with a Magic V or Messiah 2.
