ok i have xbox ftped and i wanna fash my executer with the new bios. could i just drag the new bios from my pc to the folder where the old bios is located? and if so, after i drag the new bios to the bios folder well the xbox start flashing or do i have reboot the xbox in order for the flash to begin?

hmm..i have no idea if its softmodded. all i know is that my executer lite 2 has the old bios 4976.02 and i wanna update it.

never mind guys. i finally had the guts to mess around with my xbox in figuring how flash the x2 chip, upgrade my old evox, and so forth and all turned out well. but i have just one more question. how do i replace my xbmp with the new xbmc?

for that thing u shouldve just asked before..
uc an just like delete the evox and put a new one to upgrade it
and flash it through the system utils..
same thing for xbmp
just delete the program and every directory and replace it with a new one
dont delete ur movies or whatever if theyre on ur hdd (unless u want to)

so with xbmc i cant just drag it over the xbmp folder to overwrite the files in that directory? so i must delete the xbmp and replace it with xbmc correct?

u cant just overwrite it cuz their are different files..
well, i guess u could... but ud just be wastin more space than needed..
or u could make a diff directory.. only if u wanted both though

i have xbmp v2.4 but i want the the new version, which is the xbmc. haha:D

what does the evox M7X coloured bios do? and will it erase the current bios i have for my X2, which is 4980?
