medal of honor: rising sun not burning right
Hey all, i am new to this forum. I recently bought a mod chip and had it installed (dms 3) i bought medal of honor: rising sun, and have tried to burn it many times (i have a trashcan full of dvd's). I have used alcohol, nero, clone cd, dvd decripter, and the program that came with my burner (i forget the name) some of them have failed completely, others have allowed for the game to load up (taking about 5 minutes per level) and the cut scenes are choppy beyond belief with a new frame every few seconds. i am using memrex dvd-r on a new sony burner. i am not sure the model of the burner. most other games seem to work fine. does anyone have any suggestions? are there special settings? can someone walk me through the process? :(

Sounds like crap DVD-R. Try some deep purple dyed Ritek.
|
ok, thanks :) ill try that as soon as i can get to Frys. :)

MOH RISING SUN,is a big game something like 4.4gig maybe bigger so you will have to rip it i think,

In the past I have found games that if they fill up the entire DVD-R they need to be burned at a slow speed to produce great results. Try 1X. It might take you an hour to burn it, but you might have a working copy. :)

@ Ippy
A DVD-R can hold 4,484,990KB (4.484GB) of data. A DVD game which is 4.44GB long will indeed fit on a DVD-R - my MoH: Riding Sun does and works fine on Verbatim DVD-R burned at 2x. With poor media, (cheap 2x), it may be better burning at 1x to get a good burn... |
Target has a sweet deal, 50 TDK dvd-r for 25 bucks. is that a good company? the more i read the more i think it may be my ****ty memorex brand. (btw, i tried burning it at 1X and yeah it took 47 minutes but it did work indeed. :D thanks.

Yes TDK is good. Go for it.
