DVD still wont play
 

come on guys; someone help me. tried loads of things but dvd's still wont play. do i need to put a player into a folder or sommut. i do have the kit from ms. only started not playing when installed evox. this is what my ini looks like

i only have the hdd that came with the xbox you havent got the dvd player software installed i think your best bet is to do a search on google and look for slayer auto installer 2.5
create iso using craxtion u can get that at www.craxtion.com and other places just do a search burn it with nero very very slow as an image on a dvd or cdr that you know will work on your xbox
or you will have to ftp the software for the players and stuff to the e: on your xbox after creating the apps folder and such i'd go with slayers and just install dash and all apps to the xbox all you do is put it in tray and then boot up with the disc in it

i already loaded slayers and i couldnt ftp it to my comp. so i took it off. i got it somewhere, will try it again. thanks

also there was too much stuff on there for my kid to f... about with

slayers isn't used to ftp it's used like a boot disc
it sounds like the only thing you have transfered to your xbox is the evox.ini and nothing else it won't work if you don't put any apps in it

as craig charles would say "what a wassuck" you were right. i had nowt on the c drive, i just reformated my hdd and installed apps an every thing works fine now..thanks peachy

like i asked him he didn't have any apps in his xbox so it didn't matter at that point how evox.ini was programmed
