Recordnow Max Error - Max Payne 2

Hi lads,
Trying to make a back-up of Max Payne 2 with Recordnow Max version 4.50. While building the image to my hard drive when it gets to 63% read I keep getting an error message:

Px Engine Error (Command:28 Sense:03 Asc:02 Ascq:00) reading from disk

I installed PxEngine358 to see if that fixed the problem but it didn't seem to make any difference. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Make sure your disc isnt scratched or dirty to begin with. It sounds like its scratched.

I think you are right although having examined the disk closely the scratches on there do not seem bad enough to stop the disk from reading. Also, the original works without any problems.

Polish it with some car polish and clean it. Then reread it and tell me what happens.

It didn't work so I borrowed a mate's copy and backed that up instead, seeing as mine didn't work. Thanks for your time and assistance Tyler.

Ugggh, I do get touchy about details. Next time we dont wanna know if you used your friends backup, ok.

Understand however I do own an original copy which I believe is the crux of the matter. Regards

Understand Me

Yes but by seeing your post, there will be some freaking idiots posting thinking they can just copy one of their friends backups. Then they ask questions about it with their stupid little "hint, hint" or "cough, cough" antics. Thinking I must be stupid.

The reason I allow your post is because you seemed to have tried to wits end to back up your original game. Then finally when all else failed you posted about your friends. Just next time leave out the details.

Tyler!
