S2 chip ?
 

Hi all,
Im just about to invest in a lovely Silver PS2. I've just been in to my local "modder" to see how much it would cost to have it chipped with a Messiah 2 chip.
His reply was "dont bother with one of those get a S2"?!
What the hell is one of those, are they any good or did he see me coming a mile away ?

Ive never heard of it. I would naturally be suspicious of a modder that talks about a chip Ive never heard about.

Ask him for info on it. If he cant or wont give you any then I would look for another modder.

Yeh ! thats what I thought.
I'm not really all that clued up on "mod chips".
If I do go ahead and buy a silver PS2 instead of a version 7 Black one, what chip should I be insisting he puts in it? After all he's gonna be charging me good money to do so !

Which chips should I avoid like the plague ?

Messiah 2 or DMS3 will do the trick.

That could be right DARKMASTER 2, sniper 2 sounds very familiar.
Anyway I'll be going to look for one on Tuesday. I'll let you all know how I got on.

Thats if I can find anyone who as one of those silver belters !!
