media problem/help !
 

I am still trying to make a successful backup for my ps2. I tried with Nero 6 (said it was successful but would not read in ps2)
I have a pioneer AO6 dvd burner. I have downloaded Recordmax now 4.5 and have followed the 'sticky' instructions. Everything goes right and says it is successful. It still will not read in the ps2.
I am using Verbatim data life plus 2x speed for general use.
Could it be this type disk that is the problem.? Is there another one I should be using? Could someone please give my a suggestion?

Have you been able to get any backups to work in your system? I mean ps2 cdr backups, ps2 dvd backups, ps1 backups?

Yes, I have a backup done on a shintaro 1xdvd, but I didn't so it.
I have not seen any shintaro over here.

I mean I didn't burn it, but it works.

That better be a backup of a game you own. I already find you very suspicious.

Is this the only game youve tried to backup? Im thinking that maybe your Magic 3 is just acting up. Magic 3's suck they are not very reliable.

Yes, I do own the game. I just have not had a dvd burner, I only bought it a few days ago. I had the backup done for me ages ago! I have kids who have already broken one disk! So there isn't any better quality disks you could reccomend.

Is the game your having problems with the only game youve tried to back up? If so then it may just be a bad burn. Otherwise it may be your Magic 3.

I have 2 games that I would like to be able to make backsup for.
They are AFL 2004 and Enter the Matrix. I have tried AFL twice and I have tried the Matrix once. The only other thing I can think of is that with the program 'recordnow max' it hasn't got a 1 speed for burning just min, med and max. I burnt on max and also there is nothing I can find to "auto insert notification' to turn it off. But I think I found where if the 'autorun shield' is on it means that the auto insert is off?

Sorry, just re-read my reply. I meant to say I burnt on minimum speed !!

My last suggestion would be to try putting your ps2 in a vertical position. That may help.
