P4u Files....How to burn ?

Hi all, sorry for my English ^.^'
I started to learn english 3 years ago.

Ok now my Question:
I wanted to patch Xenogears (NTSC/Pal Selector)

I tried the first patch:
"Xenogears +9 Trainer & PAL/NTSC Selector"
But, always when I tried to click on the .exe, the programm is going to crash.....

the second Patch:
Xenogears NTSC-2-PAL Patch [PAL4U]

How can I use this Patch ?
They are .pu4 files....
Thanks

Look for patches with the extension .ppf. Then use PPF-O-Matic to patch your image.

I have looked for them but I haven't found nothing for Xenogears.

Are you using CDRwin type .BIN file for the backup?

Mephu 07-01-2004 02:36

Yes, then I scanned it with the p4u Patcher but he said the exe/bin is different from that what they scanned....

I think I need a tutorial with pictures how to make a succesfuly .bin file.

PS:
How is my English ? :D

Well, the patches is for the US NTSC version and I have encutered many times that the patches that are released don't work...
That it just say that the filesize wont match.

Have no advice there... on megagames there should be tutorials how to make a backup in BIN file.
using cdrwin 3.9x should be no problems...

I have an old universal patcher that may work. Its called Zapper 2k or Zapper 2000. It does either PAL2NTSC or NTSC2PAL.

Search for that and if you cant find it hit me up.

The .pu4 file your talking about (I do believe it’s actually .p4u) is generated by a program called Pal4u. It does exactly what Tyler was talking about with the zap programs, and just like the zap programs it allows you to create your own patch files. So the pal4u file you have was made by some one that ran the program on the image and saved the patch info for others to use. Which is kinda silly when all you have to do is run the program your self on your own image and it will do the same thing, sense you have to have the program to apply the patch made by some one else any way......ok never mind I'm rambling now and probably don’t make a bit of sense to any one other then myself :P

I understand. ;)
