Progressive output

My friend just got a HDTV and wants me to play some Xbox on it with him but I'm not sure how. My understanding is that the Xbox has to be set to progressive output but I don't see a setting for it in Evox? Is this right?

You might need to buy something like this:

But don't get that from lik-sang if u are gonna buy one. Lik-sang sucks now.

Yeah I know I'll need a different cable but wasnt sure how to make the Xbox display in progressive. I *think* it defaults to 480i but I don't know how to change it since I've never used it at anything else.

I have the x2vga adaptor which is a true vga adaptor and it is totally awesome on my 19 inch monitor.

It is made in taiwan where you order direct and I found them to be really good company to deal with.

www.x2vga.com

It does all progressive modes upto 1080i

only few games support higher than 480p though.... True Crime and Soul Calibur II and TonyHawk underground are @ 720p and look so cool.... superb gfx.

cheers

I solved the problem. I guess I wasn't really clear on my question but I have the needed wiring and connectors and just didnt know how to set the Xbox to output the progressive pictures.

Basically the answer is that there is NO way to set it in Evox. I had to transfer a copy of the MS dash over to the Box, run it and change the settings there, and switch back to Evox. With all of the cool features of Evox it's shocking that something that simple and powerful has been left out.

There havent been many replies to this post which makes me wonder how many people are using the progressive outputs. After testing it on his HDTV, I've hooked it up in my home theater and played some 90" Xbox and it rocks!!

FYI Matrix is another game in higher resolution (1080i)
