Cubesoft Phoenix

Cubesoft Phoenix (Gamecube Ultra Suite) Update

CUBESOFT PHOENIX V1.37 BETA „_

Platform.: PC/GameCube Filename...: cbs-phnx137.rar
Released.: 12-30-2003 Rars.: 1 x 2.8MB

Release Info

Well here it is, an all-in-one GUI for the most common things you want
to do with your Gamecube, including: Ripping, Dol and Bin uploading,
ISO/GCM Uploading via included loaders, limited NES and N64 ROM
uploading.. and MORE!

We've been working on this for quite a while, it started off as a „_
simple ripping server but... we just can't stop. We're like high- „_
school sluts, we can't say no. Well, we've finally decided **** it, „_
we're releasing it like it is. It will be getting it's GUI update in „_
a few days, that hasn't been done in a while, so stay tuned. We just
wanted to finally get it out so you know there's more than one Suite out there. Our ripper was faster than all the public rip servers, and it's still one of the fastest. The loader is slightly faster than the official one as well.

We were really hoping that Aftermath would have a heart and release
the loader source for christmas like he originally planned (thanks Jurai et al), but we're not waiting anymore. Expect an update or
three over the next few weeks.

Please keep in mind this is an Beta release and should contain bugs.
Feel free to send bug reports or feature requests to
[email protected]. We WON'T answer, but we WILL fix bugs, and
maybe even implement requested features, time permitting.
We're a busy bunch in real life, yet another reason this has taken so long.
For that we're sorry, but between this intro release and the next few updates we hope you will be able to forgive us.

Many thanks to all of the authors who made this release possible!
It's kind of like GNU tools wrapped around the linux kernel, a vast
collection of tools working together in harmony. Well, maybe not so
sexy, but it IS damn convenient.

Enjoy!

very interesting, but i have a question

i am the owner of a N64 with 12 games. last Xmas i got a Gamecube from my parents.

now for the question: would it be ok to get roms of the N64 games i have?

and do you need PSO (what ever that may be) to use this program?

TylerDurden 11-01-2004 08:25

Dont ask about downloading roms on this site.

If you have the means to make the roms of your own games yourself then I suggest doing that.

PSO is a GC game - Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II

Don't forget you also need a gcn broadband adapter

Btw n64 emulation is not perfect. Only a few games work.

CUBESOFT PHOENIX V2.1 PROPER
Released.: 2004-02-06

Release Info
PROPER NOTE: No more releases while I'm asleep. This one should work full and proper like it should.

This is a bug fix mostly but we've done some reworking to get a little more speed out of our Phoenix PC-side Server.

If you have problems, email us at [email protected] so we can try to fix the errors. We do this because we want to, because we enjoy it, and to help everyone out. If you tried it and it didn't work, but didn't submit a bug report you have no right to complain that it doesn't work. Don't bitch, do something about it. Thank-you to those (few) who send us bug reports, they do help.

Anyways, we found a pretty serious bug dealing with the dual nic issue that we thought we had fixed in 2.0. This MIGHT be why some of you couldn't even load an image, period, while other loaders worked. Of course, without many bug reports it's hard to say...

We've also added some Win9x support of sorts, but you might still need Jet installed. Check the README.TXT included in the rar for information and trouble shooting and the FAQ. We've also done some rewording in the FAQ to clear up some misunderstands some people have had about the nature of our Phoenix PC side Server (It's not just ACL guys, he was right.)

Change Log
- Fixed Multiple NIC issue again, that should be it
- Improved Backup Creating Reliability
- Fixed .gcm/.iso being added to all backup image file names, even if you typed one in yourself from the file select dialog.
- Windows 98/ME support (May require Jet 4.0 install)
- Improved dll detection and registers dlls the first time (no more running it 5 or 6 times before it finally loaded)
- Automatic DB creation if the database doesn't already exist
- Faster loading/streaming through our Phoenix PC-side Server
