New Way To Burn XBox Games ?
 

Ok, so I was in Best Buy, and this guy told me that there was a new way to burn XBox games. He said that you need one of those new Dvd 9gb burners and Alcohol 120%. Any of you guys have any info on this ?

best buy people seem too be total idoits dvd9 burners are not even out yet they are comming in like april i think

and here is a story why i would not trust them.

my bro wanted FF 11 for the pc for xmas so she brings me to best buy cuz she knows nothing about games, walk up to the dude working there say:"you got Final Fantasy 11 for the pc?" he says "There is no final fantasy 11" i say "yes there is its been out" he says "you mean x-2" im like "no 11" hes like "you mean X" finaly im like "NO XI, 11" hes like "oh we got that"

so i would not trust them about it

i still believe that no pc drive can read xbox games

Because of your "Final Fantasy 11" you feel "Best Buy People" can't be trusted? That's crap! I'm sorry that your experience with the one Best Buy employee was crap but out of the 500 stores they all can't be stupid. Maybe it's just your area. :D

Well, I can confirm in Ohio that bestbuy are full of morons, except in the audio devision (installers are though, not the helpers). And yes, all 4 of them that i've been to are rediculously "slow".

dvd9 burners are not out yet. Xbox games will NEVER EVER, IN A MILLION YEARS WITHOUT A LAWSUIT be read in a PC. Ph yah, and a normal dvd 4.7gb burner burns em just fine.

I had the same story with "PSO" for the dreamcast. The employee said it wasn't there and wouldn't be for at least 2 weeks. Walked over to the DC section to pick out a another game, and sure enouph, there was PSO sitting on the shelf.

ya i know what you mean. i live in newyork and i was in best buy one time, and i asked if thay had xbox memory cards. he said
"yes just come here with me" he brought me through the store and held out a 'mega memory card" for the game boy color! i said "no dude i need one for the xbox!" and he said oh, sorry, im not sure if we carry those, you can ask her though,(pointing at some spanish employee) 'hi' i said 'do you have any memory cards for the xbox?' she was like 'what?' i said DO YOU HAVE ANY MEMORY CARDS FOR THE XBOX? nice and slow, cuz she didnt seem to have such a good understanding of the english language.
then she said oh, my son has one xbox..is black right? ..big black with green on its head...(she really did say "on its head") i said "yea.. thats it, do you have any memory cards for it?" she said yes. follow me. she brings me to the xbox isle, where she holds up a controller and triumphantly says: the card, it goes in here*pointing to the expansion slot* with a big smile on her face. at that point i just walked away and went to gamestop, where i bought a brand new yet overpriced memory card in about 45 seconds.

Best Buy eh...
wish they had one here downunder so i can get a job! :D

It is interesting how this post went from talking about a new DVD burner to Best Buy employees being dumb...but I can agree.

I live in OH and can truly say they are not too smart. I bought a 51" Sony HD Wide Screen from one and nobody there could tell me what the correct way to hook the damn thing up so the PIP worked!! I ended up giving my cable guy $20 to do it when I got my HD receiver!!
