A Little Help Please !

Ok, here is my problem. My tv is in another room opposite of my pc. They are about 40 feet apart. My question is: When you are connecting your xbox to your pc, does the xbox have to be hooked up to your tv as well ? My tv is no where near my pc, so its hard to have it hooked up to my tv and my pc at the same time. Can I just plug the console up right beside my pc without having it plugged up to my tv (I know that it flashes red and green and then cuts off after awhile without the A/v cords plugged in, thats why im asking) Any help guys ?

Thanks

if you already have your xbox ip address saved in your ftp program as i do then you don't need to but if you don't know your ip then you will have to have your xbox plugged into a tv aswel so you can find it in the settings menu

Thats not my concern. I havent got my mod installed yet. But I do know that without the a/v cords hooked up to the xbox, it will cut off after a few minutes as a fail safe. I have it figured out now, I will just hook my xbox up to my pc with a tv tuner card, that way everything that I need it right here beside me.

with the current hacked bios, you fon'r need a tv. When you get a chip that is flashable, it will not need the a/v cables plugged in.

Yeah before I updated my bios I had that prob too. I just went ahead and got some extra power and a/v cables then connected to the back of my PSOne with portable screen. That fixed it. But I eventually found that all I needed was the a/v cables connected to the xbox and thats it.

Tyler!
