how to get online with a PS2

just wanting to know how do I get online with my PS2. Can someone please tell me what I need to do and what I need to have.............Thanks;)

Erm, me too wanna know i got a network adapter and braodband too but do i need original games and special formatted harddisk?
i like to try resident evil outbreak NTSC/J online....

You need original games nowadays (for the most part). And you have to have your chip in sleep mode. You dont need a hdd just yet. Just connect online as the game instructs and you should be ok.

Yes u need the origonal game to be able to play online turn the mod off if u have one and connect the broadband connection too your ps2 and play your game ;)

This is almost correct....

You WILL need your original disc to play the NEWER online games... The older online games DO NOT have dnas check in them so backups will work.... (Note: all games that have been released in the last 6 months or so have dnas check and will REQUIRE the original game, unless it has been patched to bypass dnas protection...... DO NOT ASK where to find these patches... There is only 2 groups that have cracked this, and they are not releasing any info on it just yet..) I will keep everyone informed as soon as it is allowed.. :)

Also... Some of the older online games, DO NOT require a broadband connection... You can play older games with a 56k connection.... Another NOTE... Like above... Most of the newer games (aka released in the last 6 months or so, REQUIRE a broadband connection)

I got all the equipment but have not tryed it yet. Is their any charges to play online? (UK)

not that i know about. i think on xbox u have too

Only a few games charge, like Everquest and I think one other but I may be wrong about the other.


Just about all the other games are free online play.
