Xbox networking question
I am having a prob with the connection between my Xbox and PC.
I have already done this a bunch of times and have had the same problem every time. I have 2 NICs...one connected to high speed online and the other to my Xbox when need be. Everytime I try to connect to the Xbox I have to go through so much crap to get it to work. By crap I mean uninstalling the NICs, disabling them and basically messing around with them until I get the FTP to work. Is there an easy solution to this??? I know this is not a networking forum but any advice would be appreciated. |
here are a couple of ?'s for you.
are you setting a static ip for your PC? have you logged off/on or restarted after you make your NIC properties changes? using a crossover cable? are you getting errors from your ftp software? |
Yes to all of your questions.
I tried Absolute FTP and Cute and both programs say conection refused by source computer. I try to ping the IP for the xbox and get nothing. I thought it may have been a firewall issue. I use Zone Alarm and know you ave to shut t down..but I disabed it at startup and still have the problems. It is easier to run all the conections throgh a switch? Thanks in advance for yur help!! |
Best FTP for the x-box try LeapFTP
