Xbox as a DVD Ripper
 

Guess what, it works lol :D

actually, the video files turned into audio only, on multiple different dvd-players. The warning screen played fine, but everything else messed up.

Some people were wondering if you can use the xbox to rip a full dvd movie. I thought it would work, bur it doesn't because the movies only get sound when i copied them.

Oooh, that would be cool if it worked though.

hey i got a 2x cd-r burner!
is that fast enough?
for burning x-box games?

...most xbox games are dvd, not cd-r. And the speed of burning will never matter, unless your in a hurry, but slower speeds will less likely give you a bad burn.

Hello :), I use the box 2 rip some movies, but not all of them (even though i can). When rippin movies i use avalunch on my box & then ftp n2 my box via pc . I can then grab the Audio_TS folder (btw its empty) & the Video_TS folder (keep in mind that the DVD is encrypted if it's an Original, not copied). Once thats done u can do with the files as u please.

well yah i ripped a dvd, but they cannot be played. I only get audio. It doesn't really matter because i have programs on my PC to do this kind of stuff, but i was looking for an easier way lol.

Yeah I rip my movies whenever I buy a new one. Its just that I have Sony burner and it only allows for 2x decryption no matter what. I know that other players/burners allow for faster ripping speeds but I like my Sony. So if there was a decrypter program for the X I would be very happy.
