NFSU 1.2 update question
 

I have downloaded nfsu_us_patch_2.rtp off EA's. How can I run it manually?

I don't prefer using "Click Me here" techniques to stay up-to-date.

There is a DEViANCE RTP-Patcher for this Update.

On this page click the 'Check for Patch' button. Your game version will be checked and if you need a patch, the button will change to read 'Patch Available! Download Patch'. Click the link just once. You may not notice anything happening while the file downloads but please be patient. After a few moments the message 'Patch Installed' will appear.

Need For Speed Underground is now updated and ready to play online!


Note: If you have already applied the patch but are still being told you need to apply an update, the patch may not have installed correctly. To resolve this, uninstall and then reinstall Need For Speed Underground. Once the game is reinstalled, follow the instructions above to apply the patch.

No matter how many times I go thru the update routine, it always says there's a new patch available. Confusing, isn't it?

Anyway, I want my own tree of patches available 365 days a year without the hassle of going online every time I do clean installs. I've been a follower of all NFS games and to my experience the online-update based system is already no longer available to many of its predecessors. e.g. NFS2,4,5.

XJ220, I have updated both FIFA 2004 and NFS:U via the EA website and they still say there's a patch available. Ignore it.

Latest NFS:U is 1.2.51733.
