what is it used to do?
  what is the official website?

2. what progs are required to burn C&C Generals?

3. is it possible now to burn 2 or 3 cds on one DVD?
but still be able to play it like normal?

1. It's a protection identifier.
It tells you what protection a game uses.

2. Depends on the protection.

3. Depends on the game. Might be possible with some, but most will probably check for the CD's label.

Is your writer capable of handling SD 2.8?

SonY 07-12-2003 09:22

****

how can i check if it is (other then the fact that it didn't work :D)

it's new
are old more compatable for backingup games

To be able to back up SD2 correctly you need to have a writer which provides correct EFM encoding. There used to be a list on the CloneCD site where capable writers were listed, but it's been a long time since i've last been there. Meaby there's some other features needed for SD 2.8, but i'm not sure. Try a search in the forums ;)

no the list is no longer there but you can check clone cds help topics..the list is still there...so..go and check if you writer supports efm ancoding...
