ConfigMagic and locking new HD
 

I have the modchip installed (Xecuter 2.2 Lite) and EvoX (Build 3921) on the original hard drive. I have a brand new Maxtor 120 gig HD ready to install. I have backed up my C and E drives, but I wanted to be sure that I would be able to lock the new drive so that I could get on XBox Live. I have ConfigMagic and have tried to burn it to both a CD-RW (Sony) and DVD-R (no-name brand). When inserted, EvoX tells me that the disc is unknown. I converted ConfigMagic to xiso and burned using Nero. Am I missing a step, is it bad media, (I've read that the XBox can be picky)?

Just wanted to make sure that ConfigMagic would boot before I went through all of the other steps of installing the HD and FTPing over the backed up files.

If there's another way to do it (I don't have access to a Win98 machine to do the DOS thing), any help would be greatly appreciated.

goto evox.ini
take the # off lock the hdd
boot the hdd
lock it
and ur done

Fixed the burning issue. Now I have a bigger problem. See separate post.
