No CD fix
 

Hi I have downloaded some no-cd fixes for DF2 and AOE2.

I want to use them to save my cdrom from going the way my last cdrom to the crapper from over work.

My problem with the fixes I am using is when I switch the existing .exe file for the new one it does not do the job.

I start the game from the new .exe and it goes through the cinematics but when I want to play it says for me to load the cd.
I know the fix is doing something because I atleast see the cinematics which I would not be able to with the original .exe.

Has anyone had this prob? Does anybody have a suggestion as to what I could do?

BTW, I also did a fix on Empire Earth the same way and it works slick.

it sounds like you've downloaded a fixed exe as opposed to a no-cd crack, read the faq and stickies for more information, and use the search button if you are unsure what the difference is
